The first theme that I came across is black, three column, and very clean looking.
It’s named
Nano and was authored by
wordpresssite and designed by
themespack.
The theme is a three column, fixed width with a right sidebar.
In addition it is Adsense, widget, and tag cloud ready.
The theme is compatible with version 2.3.2 of WordPress.
Zine Style is a Magazine style theme from ChiQ Montes. I haven’t tried the theme myself, though I plan on it for one of my blogs.
The more I looked at this theme and played with it, the more I liked it.
So much so I’m using it on this site.
There isn’t a lot of information on the site about it but the demo is using WordPress version 2.3.1.
Light colored, three columns and a spot for youtube videos make this a very interesting theme to use.
Instead of listing just one theme here from Performancing I thought I would just give you the URL so you can look for yourself.
It was the college theme that originally brought me to the site, but after looking around I saw there was more then just the one theme there worth mentioning. In fact there are, as of the time of this writing 11 themes there worth checking out.
And finally if you have never heard of
Smashing Magazine you should run on over there and check them out. You could spend hours there reading the many articles. But the reason I,m talking about them today is because they just released their
100 Excellent Free WordPress Themes list.
